tiBackup 0.9.2 released

A new version of tiBackup – my open-source backup system for Linux servers and desktops – is out.

tiBackup 0.9.2 runs as a headless daemon with a built-in web UI (the old Qt desktop GUI is gone) and brings a lot of new features:

  • E-mail notifications over SMTP with STARTTLS / SSL-TLS on a configurable port, plus a test-mail button
  • Proxmox Backup Server (PBS) integration and rsync-over-SSH pull backups
  • Live log viewer – watch a running backup in real time – plus per-run and raw rsync logs
  • Built-in file browser with folder creation, and a reworked mount/unmount control
  • Hotplug & scheduled backups, LUKS-encrypted targets, pre-/post-backup scripts

Packages are available from the iteas APT repository at https://apt.iteas.at; the source is on GitHub.
